Every Image has a Story #DoMoBA
In 2016, I set out in Ruby, a Jeep with a drinking problem to off road away from a life in limbo through mud, men, angels and shaman in search of purpose. And maybe a soulmate. But this photographic road trip became a cathartic journey to enlightenment. Each of the first 12 images is representative of this journey, the stories lighthearted and simple with layers of depth. The video is hands down my favorite, please take a minute to click and watch. The last few images are part of my "Every Image has a Story" exhibition which has hung in numerous galleries throughout Reno and Incline Village. #DoMoBA

Being on the Road for 4 months has it's downside. When you're camping, and using a MacBook Air to process your images, you really can't see what you're doing. So when I pulled up images from September, I found a small group that looked flat and totally uninteresting in camera raw. I pulled up a batch, opened them up, put in my presets, and they took my breath away. They are not technically challenging images, in fact, the batch was all handheld. It was middle of the day, after a long hike with a (possibly a) killer bee following my friend and me, a friction climb down, and back up a steep cliff. We spent a few hours wandering, but we could/should have spent the night and shot the Milky Way.
